    They should have just gone back and tweaked Physical Levels... That had some potential... Would have been kind of nice if it was similar to Oblivions leveling system; when you level up can can set attributes to raise that level, depending on what skills you leveled to raise your main level, you could get a boost to certain attributes...

    Every time you raise your Physical Level, you get to pick X attribute points to raise, picking from the current options; Strength, Vitality, Dexterity, Mind, Intelligence, Piety. Every Class you play will provide a boost when you're raising them. Say I only play Conjurer, when I level up I can raise my attributes by +1, except Mind which I can raise by +3, because playing Conjurer provides a Mind boost.

    Would be a much better system than the current one, and would make your character a lot more unique than what we currently get. Shame such a system is "too complex" and thus not acceptable for Yoshidas "Babies first MMO".

    Just take the INT. There is no theoretical cap to DPS. There *is* a theoretical cap to healing. You only need to have enough MND to ensure no one dies. More MND just gives you a better cushion, while more INT results in faster kills.

    Giving cleric stance would help. In your own example, if you just poored all the points into mind, then used cleric stance on the summoner, wouldnt you have higher int then your example AND have the damage boost from cleric stance?

    You'd have the points where you want them on each class.
    The problem is you cannot gear a summoner for MND, even with Cleric stance, gearing properly for INT will still be better.

    Just add an even amount of stats to each class. I do that and have had no issue with end game content either DPS or healing. Though I admit that at this point they should just remove the point system because it really is... dare I say... pointless.

    To those of you that want to min/max that extra tiny bit... I am sorry this isn't a solution.

    I think the heart of the issue is the class. Jobs are equipped, not changed to like XI. They are an all-encompassing modification to the base class. As such, you aren't adding to the job with your 30 points, you are adding to the class which enhances the changes made in equipping the job. It'd be difficult to differentiate the stat changes to the individual jobs as the jobs are just pieces of equipment that you can freely equip or remove when you aren't under the locks of aggro or instance. As has been mentioned, this is something we will have to address when the rest of the classes get their second job stones. Dare you to imagine the crying then...

    No, it doesn't prevent you from playing SCH and SMN, just min/maxing it. Personally, I like having the 15/15 split on SCH/SMN.

    Good. I hope people continue to bring this issue up till SE realizes how dumb it is. And if this is the price I have to pay for leveling two jobs for the price of one then I'd rather just level them up separately.
