    The solution to clear the confusion about classes, jobs and allocations would be bringing back the physical level.

    The physical level was the level of the character (seperate from class level). The stat allocations was bounded to the physical level of the character.

    You put in 50 int and every class have the +50 int. You put in 30 str and every class have the +30 str. Because the character don't become weaker normally with just simple changing the class. He trained his body and is still trained regardless which weapon he have in the hand.

    Yes, the old system was much more about immersion. It got changed because a physical 50 character on a rank 1 class was much stronger than a physical 1 character on a rank 1 class (and because of player feedback).

    Other solution would be to give every job their own stat allocations and to change the stats the job stones give the character for the re-balancing.
