    [dev1026] Changes to claiming/engaging enemies : Any word?

    With patch 1.18 we get a new battle system. What about the claim mechanics? Will we be able to battle multiple non-partied mobs and gain FULL XP for each kill? Or will we still have the current system where you only get XP proportional to it's remaining health when the name tag turns red from yellow?

    Aside from the tedious battle mechanics that XIV launched with, this is my 2nd biggest turnoff of FFXIV. Doing all the work of battling multiple mob and gaining very little in return.

    Leave it as it is.

    Watch those aoe's. Pull mobs to where you want to fight them.

    Basic stuff like that.

    They obviously did not want mass training of mobs and aoe farming in this game. Fair enough.

    The game is easy enough as it is without simply being able to area nuke with impunity and full benefits.

    I suspect the people asking to have it changed to the old style are either very lazy, or running an RMT team.

    I bet you are more careful when the mobs that might add are much higher rank or an NM.

    I wouldn't worry, just like some leves where multiple mobs are claimed and meant to be fought together I am sure that is how it will be in the dungeons. Mobs will be grouped up and meant to fight as a group and not individually picking them off.
