Ok so aftet reading the whole thread, I am now convinced that watching videos & reading guides and stuff allows you to be able to win any content in the game..

After the obvious fact that said videos & guides were made by people going blindly... I have a little and boring question :
Why, after a month of reading and watching, and 2 weeks trying, am I still unable to go past twintania p2 ?

For the record, I have blasted everything but T5 and Ex primald blindly until now. experience comes with trying, not watching. If people do not want beginners in their group, just CREATE yours with friends and do ALL content together. never again people to waste your time.

DF will always be extremes. You can hide behind anonymity and will never see most of the people there again.

Even with these hindrances, you can still learn quite a lot in DF.

P2? Are you stuck on conflags or stuck on divebombs? Divebombs are the hardest part of the encounter.

Videos will help immensely on conflag, twister/dreadknight, snake burn, and liquid hellx5/egg stage. And I mean immensely. There are quite a few YT videos out right now on tactics for divebombs. There are also widgets that take all the guess work out of it.

Divebombs are something everyone needs to pass or you will most likely fail. Go watch a video. Guarantee you that you will find people saying, "Up up up" when divebombs trigger using voice comm. or mention something when the 2nd set of divebombs are about to hit. You can use macros and cooldowns to track time between the two sets of divebombs too.

Did you learn anything about conflags/divebombs from this? "Everyone together" for fireball/"On us", people calling out names of those who have fireball/conflag. on them, Ruin calling out short conflags., people telling you when they're conflagged, where DPS needs to increase,

Not only that but you get positioning, where she should be tanked, where virus/eye are used for mitigation from party chat, how to deal with snake debuff, when to use LB/cooldowns that people call out, etc

The same is true for people joining exp groups with no exp: form your own group. You know they have a "new players welcome" and "until we complete our duty" check mark, right? You can also put, "We're a learning group. Come join us." in your comment. I've seen quite a few of these myself. I'm glad people are using PF this way.

First they wish for "elitists" to stay out of DF. Okay, done.

Then they QQ on and on about how they're excluded from groups and PF because they're inexperienced.

I've read some of your stories and just because a few people are too thick to follow simple directions doesn't mean everyone needs to watch a video. Plus what's the fun in that?

That is most definitely not common sense. You have resources, use them. Expecting people to carry you through everything doesn't make players like me "toxic", it's the other way around.

I'm a bit confused why all 3 other people don't want to talk, but I figured I could gauge their knowledge from the trash pulls up to the first boss.

I once queued a titan HM for kicks (30+ min queue), got in, tank asked if anyone was new, someone said they were. Tank instantly dropped before even first attempt, run ruined, queue wasted (this was before In Progress was allowed on trials).

But the attitude that it should be expected for people know fights before they attempt them contributes to this, leading to people sometimes being afraid to admit it's their first time. I am always happy to explain things for new people.

The last time I was in DF Pharos, 2 people were new. One even mentioned having queued this before, only seen to first boss due to people quitting after 1 wipe.

I explained everything as we went, and we 1 shot the whole dungeon, with just 1 death doing an optional room (one at the bottom of the spiral stairs) which we recovered from without wipe, and I walked away with 3 commendations as a DPS. Just because people are new to content, doesn't mean that it will necessarily take longer, if you take a moment to explain things.

I choose the resource of first hand experience. 2 to 3 tries to get the gist of a fight isn't being carried.

Tank made the right call. Titan HM df is nightmare enough without someone joining it without a clue.
