People who sneak into parties under the false pretense of knowing the fight because they're afraid they'll be kicked are kind of shooting themselves in the foot. You're even more likely to get kicked if you lie about knowing the fight when it becomes immediately apparent that you don't. I've never kicked someone for saying they didn't know the fight, but I have no trouble removing someone from the party that lied to my face and caused a wipe because they didn't know what they were doing and weren't honest about it.

It's a two-way street. More educated player should be more willing to teach newbies, but newbies should be more willing to ask for assistance. I can't read minds and if I ask if everyone knows the encounter and they all say yes or don't respond at all I'll assume they don't need an explanation.

yes what you say is true but tell me this, weigh the people who are willing to teach and the people who would just kick the person who doesnt know the fight? bet you 5 bucks that the the people who would jus kick the person out weighs the people who would be wiling to teach! but i understand your point. but until this elitest mindset changes you will be seeing more people who will lie than tell the truth sadly and there are less people like you around as well i commend you for being willing to help others
