No Companion menu bug?

I finished the level 30 quest "My Feisty Little Chocobo" and I assume besides from allowing you to summon the chocobo as a companion you also get the companion menu button at the top of the gear screen. I did not get this button and cannot access my companion skills or barding. Did something bug out on me? Or am I missing something?

This button was removed. If you have the quick bar menu, the small 6 red and gold icons in the corner, it is under the character sub menu bar, the left button, as companion. If you don't have the quick menu and are using the controller hit start and its in the far left sub menu. if neither of those apply you have to go to abilities and general and look for the companion button.

Ha well that explains my confusion. I don't have it in my general menu, but it was in the character quick menu. Thanks for the help!
