Thank you. It's sad how people get offended by the smallest things. But I wish SE would put the maximum time instead of minimum time; since I believe minimum time could mean weeks
they should have sent an email with the ban time amount...
I hear what you're saying op. Unfortunately in todays' gaming times anything that is said in say, shout etc.. is not only read by everyone but even if it doesn't concern them, people will throw in a word or comment and of course you will have the few that are aggressive by nature and act on things even if it is not their business to do so. Your comment might infact be quite harsh to many including me so it might be safer to /tell.
My advice, if you're going to say something to your friends, i suggest you do it in a tell.
Of course you can ignore my advice and do as you please since you are free and it is your choice in the end but if so then be prepared for stuff like this.
Hope your suspension gets lifted soon.
Peace out

I used to see an emote "such and such starts masturbating wildly in the corner".
Not something i want to see.
If you really cannot prevent yourself from erping in game at least keep it to /t's so the people around you don't know how weird you are. Thank you
Not everyone is the same. What is not offensive to one person may be offensive to another. A great life lesson to learn, especially so on a video game rather, say, a place of employment.
A ban can be 24 hours,3 days, 7 days, a week, two weeks to permanent.
I'm curious as to what the emote was that you did. Please list it here.
Flipping someone off is against the ToS that you agreed to when you signed up for the game. If you want to break them, you have to pay the price. My suggestion is that if you want to flip your friends off, do it in private where no one else has to see it. You can complain all you want about it not being offensive, but the fact of the matter is, that someone WAS offended by it, else you would not have been reported. FYI, flipping the bird is the same as saying "go F**k yourself". In case you were unaware. And the killing part isn't exactly all that appropriate either. Deserved punishment is deserved.
There is a world of difference between kissing someone and telling them to go f'k themselves. And yes, that behavior is considered to be harassment, not just in this game BUT FREAKING EVERYWHERE, genius. In case you were unaware, sexual gestures are considered to be sexual harassment, even if they are not directed at the person who feels harassed by them. I have fired people for less under company sexual harassment guidelines. This isn't the 1800's where everything is repressed. Sexual gestures includes kissing, a sociable accepted way of displaying affection.
But that's not what I got banned for, I got banned for harassment. Wheres the harassment when it was a mutual and used as a joke to enjoy the game?

Sure next time if I happen to pass somebody that is supposedly "having fun" with another person and has nothing to do with me but I find offensive, I'd be sure to report them.

So long as they are making sexually explicit gestures, or something else that is offensive and against the ToS, you would be justified in doing so. Otherwise, you'd get another ban for griefing. Seriously, do I REALLY have to spell this out for you? Are you REALLY this dumb? Offensive is offensive. Period. No matter that you are just having fun with friends. If others are around, and your having fun with friends is making them at all uncomfortable, it is called harassment. Save things like offensive gestures for PRIVATE times if you don't want to be reported for them. In other news, the sky is blue, water is wet, and 1+1=2.
