Considering that SE is notorious for being stubborn and unresponsive to their customers, them losing their spine is actually a good thing.

Yes, it may be what the companies are after, but there are methods to not ruining a game. Its called saying "no," and by doing that, it can save games and continue to collect monthly income from subscribers for years.
With this game they really can't say "no" to much, being that hardly anyone is committed to playing this game.
yupp its def SE saying yes too much that has ruined this wonderful game we already had...Are you guys serious in thinking this? What has been ruined, or better yet what could be ruined that wasnt released in an already shitty state? If anything any change made is a step forward for this game and everyone should just shut up till the changes are all out and we can see how they are actually going to play out. You can't "ruin" a game that was already in the shitter.

No.

i think no , for real though because tanaka, yoshi, whoever it is, is always held back, its apparent. HOLD ME BACK, then rush my game. Thats always works wada.

Japanese culture is very non-confrontational.
As a result people are often reluctant to respond with a definitive "no" when in public settings, for fear of embarrassing or offending the other person.
「検討します。」 (we'll consider it)
In Japan this is a very common response to hear during any open forums or group discussions.
It means anywhere between "we'll consider it" and "no".
WoW, yet another beaten to death thread. These changes were probably already planned and in the works for the battle update, so they revealed some information. "Spine" had nothing to do with it.

I think "spine" is not so much in whether they listen to player requests and more in how they handle player complaints. 300k people bought an $80 empty book and broken game, they waited 3 months and fire someone to make us shut up for a while. But what of our complaints since then? What if people continue to be critical? I mean, seriously critical, like a full on compare/contrast of how many updates S-E does on FFXIV as compared to other MMORPGs, and hard information that makes S-E look bad? Do they address the criticisms, or ignore them, or delete threads wholesale and silently ban everyone involved? That right there is the true measure of "spine."
So to answer your question, well, you already know the answer.
