SE will never do this. When we get the addon API (if we *ever* get it, which considering the lack of updates since pre-launch interviews, I'm starting to worry about), then there will be in-game officially allowed DPS parsers.

In the meantime, you don't really have to worry. They're not gonna ban everyone who uses a parser. When asked if parsers are allowed, all GMs **MUST** reply with the stock "All third party software is against the ToS and is not allowed" response, because to do otherwise would seem like an official endorsement of a particular piece of third party software, which they absolutely will not do.

They are not going to add some detection code into the game to look for people running parsers and ban them. They'd take out probably a quarter of their players, and almost all of the serious endgame ones. It's just not a good business decision.

They are not going to ban people for casually mentioning that they use DPS parsers in chat either.

What they will ban for is when someone using a DPS parser calls out another player for their performance and uses it as an excuse to treat them like crap and behave like a jerk. As long as you aren't doing that, and you aren't spamming shout chat with download links for parsers, you are fine.
