I learned two facts today, these facts made me want to post a new thread instead or replying to a dead thread.
The two facts are:
- SE do not like 3rd party software such as parsers and willing to issue a warning to anyone who mention them in game.
- DD Players are afraid of being told they are doing terrible and have their DPS go public in party chat. I know I could have worded this better but it is what it is.
Now, I'm trying to avoid any clash with all DD players. So please, keep reading before you lawyer up.
Tanks & Healers errors are easily seen in the game. However for DD players, it is not as obvious unless they died in the encounter. Parsers can and will point out weakness and strength of each player in the team. Raid leader can use such tool to further improve his/her own team.
In short:
- Introduce accurate & detailed in-game Parser.
- This feature is only available outside DF & PF. Available only to a formed FC Raid of at least 8 players.
- Only the Raid leader have access to it.
- Solo players can have access to it for practice and theory crafting.
- The Parser shows total damage, average encounter DPS, fight duration, spells/skills damage breakdown for each player, death counter, and isolate Limit Break Damage from the player who initiated it.
I believe this way we can avoid harassment and abuse. We can greatly improve our own damage by testing out skills/spells/rotations solo. FC Raid leaders can identify weakness within their own Coil groups and help players improve and strive for new goals instead of relying on feelings.
I'm really hoping this time I don't read soap opera stories in this thread. The suggestion is limited, can't be used in DF and PF. Only one person within your own FC group can use it, your own Raid leader.
