    parser won't improve the casuals. Most people don't even bother with cross skills anymore, and the new summer trend are carries. I've had plenty of groups were tanks in def stance do more dmg than both or all 4 dps combined. I guess we just have to live with that, since every 2 weeks we adding more echo to content and give out free gear, so that the bad people can at least then pretend to be good. Wish we would have parser ingame tho, with the option to remove people if they are the problem to the group. There's nothing worse than wasting 90 minutes of your own time, and if you mention it people even get butt hurt.

    I agree with a dps/hps/tps meter being built in game.

    THE CATCH.
    Because the meter is built in game, your character's dps/hps/tps data would only be seen by you. You can however enable combat data sharing and this would allow your data to be shared with any other party member who currently is sharing as well.

    But that's the new thing now in these games. We baby everyone through group content.

    The issue that we really need meters for is those bosses where you have to kill that add in a certain amount of time or you wipe. Or the bosses that have an enrage timer, that after it, you wipe.

    Everyone else shouldn't be expected to bang their heads against a wall because some dragoon is getting his rotation wrong and only doing about 1/4 of the damage that he should. If there's going to be timed fights, or timed phases to fights, then players have to be able to parse damage... And one built into the game would be way more accurate than a 3rd party.
