    If your gonna be playing XIV on your PS3 for a while yet I'd say put an SSD in, you'll notice the difference before the title screen loads

    And after you have a PS4 you can then use the SSD in the PS4

    Also this... it is why I got a SSD for my ps3... for later use in my ps4.

    SSDs are huge for loading times when games are installed on the HDD like FFXIV. Its not uncommon for me to load faster than PC users... its that fast.
