Free Company Clarification

My question is as you rank up a free company, there is a visible bar that shows a number amount too. Is that actually showing Company points? I ask since I always assumed it was points for rank. For example, I have read from numerous sources Rank 5 is 50k points, but upon reaching Rank 5 points in bar were 57,534. Yep a little confused since I can't really find straight forward info.

The number is definitely the company points that you use to buy company actions, but I don't know if they have any effect on the rank bar. I only know that actions taken to raise the company rank bar will also raise the number of company points available.

Ok thanks, that clears it up for me. Kept looking at the bar and then the number thinking "50k for rank 5 my butt...." lol

The number of FC points you gain isn't necessarily equivalent to the required Xp, if you will, to increase the FC rank.

Its more of a guideline if you will, taken from personal experience, but like Exp Points the more members you have in the FC and the more "Stuff" they do, the faster your FC will increase in rank.
