    Mob AI buffs

    How come mobs don't buff until you engage them...?

    In XI mobs buffed whenever when they were not engaged as they wandered around. See WHM mobs cast protect buffs on other monsters also. How come we cant get this in xiv?

    Dont really see any other monsters help the other monsters out like giving them a cure.

    Some mobs used to even in 1.0
    Heck, snurbles used to cast protect on you as you loomed over them while you pulled your weapon out to murder them. Fun times

    Elaborate mob AI is too stressful and challenging for modern gamers, who cares right open world mobs are just trash and endgame dungeons and epic raidz are where the game truly begins, nevermind XI and 1.xx also had at least 5+ skills per mob instead of just 2-3 and they actually hurt and were something to watch out for.

    I personally want the same kind of ai from xi into xiv. Would be exciting,!

    Man...I was so sad when they gimped AI. I remember how Efts, Crabs, Snurbles, Wolves, and a host of creatures had unique AI.

    I haven't played the original 14 or 11, but I definitely approve of better mob AI. The only time a monster actually scared me was when I was under lvl 20 back in beta 3 (when I first started playing).
    It would be great to have monsters that are actually somewhat challenging roaming around. That way, non instanced battle might actually be challenging and more than just brief inconveniences.
