Aesthetician needs an upgrade

Okay, as it stands our current in game barber can change our hair, our face paint, our tattoos and a few colors. Im confused as to why we cant do more. Why we cant change our faces, our skin tone, our eye color at will?

I main a male Miqote, the options are dismally small compared to the females and both clans share the same four faces and facial features. facial features should be universal. The thing is theres just very little variety even with the barber added in. As a Man Cat all of my hair options are boring and similar to one another, I know this is a design choice to avoid showing that we dont have ears on the side of our heads, but we just have so little variety with all of our short puffy hair.

why cant I freely change my face so one week I can play pale and old faced with dark eyes, then another week with dark skin and a young face. As it is the game is shaping up to be a never ending gear treadmill. If I dont have some variety Im going to get bored.

I understand that, You know how many you get? One, do you know how many ways there are to get more? Zero.

Im not talking about changing clans, or changing races or even genders. I dont need all of those parts but I want some more variety in my character. And youre main is a female miquote, they have by far the most customization options of any character so you dont feel my boredom quite as hard.

Skin tone and Eye color I believe were still being debated when the Aethetician was finalized a couple of months ago. It could very well be added in the future

Off topic: Some players can receive 2 Fantasias per new character. Irrelevant but thought I'd point it out. As for ways to get more, I forsee 2 ways in the future, one: When new races are added we'll receive one for free, or two: It will be offered as a paid service via The Mogstation, which this is still being debated on currently I believe. (have to see the dev post in that one thread about it)

I know in the past you could get one by signing up for so many months on the Mog Station.
I'm sure SE will keep Fantasia potions in mind somehow....Heck, maybe the Aesthetician will start to sell them or something as well eventually.

Me, I would like to see ~3 new hair styles AND more interesting options in the face paint and make up categories every major patch. With only 1 or maybe 2 hairstyles popping up, you see a TON of the new ones and it takes some of the fun of being unique away.

The game already has a potion that spits in the face of creation by letting you change gender, race, height, color, and clan. Its a power that exists in the form you can bottle and sell. Im not even asking for race change, Im not asking for clan change. Yet if were going to have to have it make sense, why not just claim his scissors are melded with materia that allows him to shape flesh like putty.

In truth it is a very simple request, there are so few options out there, not as few as there were in ff11 but we dont have a lot of diversity. Just having the power to alter our skin tone, our chin shape, our ear length can let us feel like an entirely new character

Yeah you're asking for a plastic surgeon, not an Aesthetican. They've said they're looking into letting you change eye color by justifying the in game explanation as colored contacts, but being able to change your physical appearance on a whim kind of breaks the high fantasy immersion. It sounds like there's a pretty good chance they'll start Fantasia potions in the future though.
