As for the Selene Embrace macro, Im on PC, so just doing /pac "Embrace" <t>/<tt>/etc works for both, a PS3 user in my FC said using /pac "Embrace" Pet Selene <t>/<tt>/etc worked for him.

As for the overall "argument", I have Embrace macroed to <t> on pretty much every ability, Physick/Adlo/Succor/Leeches/Eye for an Eye/Lustrate/Sacred Soil/etc, that way regardless of what im doing, whether shielded the group, removing a debuff, applying a buff, my pet is healing my target, while I potentially am not.

I prefer to double up heals rather than split them for the simple reason that at my current ilvl, my Physicks land for 1k+, and Embrace land for 600+, thus, my Physick/Embrace land together for 1600+...none buffed, none crit, Rouse brings Embrace to 1k+, so that brings your double heal to 2k+, when you or pet, let alone both, crit...your practicaly tossing out benedictions.

My WHM (same ilvl) cure IIs land for 1500~.

Thus, by having embrace land with your heals, your physicks hit for more than WHM cure II, for half the MP cost, Adlos land for 750~ non crit, combine with embrace that's a 1300+ heal, in addition to shield.

I find this excellent for Tank healing, ez mode.

As far as splitting my heal and pet heal on 2 targets, I have never encountered a situation where I have felt the want or need to do this, if I have to switch from tank to another party member to heal them, I just shield tank and then double heal that person (if Im switching from tank to heal someone, ie, they cant be topped off by succor, whispering wind, or whm aoe healing, they probably took a lot more then 600 dmg, and I would want to land a 1600+ heal on them anyway).

And as far as letting pet heal on its own, it will only heal them at 80% or less, and then only for 600ish, which isn't going to top them off, and then it wont heal them again till they hit 80% or less again, etc etc.

To each their own, but I find throwing out endless cure II+'s all day wherever I want to be optimal for me. And as someone who also plays PLD/WAR quite a bit, I notice the, IMO, crappy healing I receive from a SCH who doesn't do what I do. For example, Ultima, and all the many many times ive died as tank because of inadequate heals, I can see when I got a whole fight without ever receiving an embrace lol, vs when Im healing the fight and the tanks are always topped off.

And finally, as for the not being able to control your pets without having a target...what do you need to do with them when you don't have a target lol, its pretty much a non issue, before fight starts, put them in obey, good to go, if theres no fight/target, what do you need it on obey for?

For players trying to link Embrace to your other heal simultaneously, there are two things that complicate what you're trying to do:

    1) At 80% health, any player will trigger an auto-heal from the fairy. Your macro will be unsuccessful while a cast is already active.

    2) The ratio of player to fairy heal frequency is 3:2, and variance in spell speed will not change that significantly. In other words, you will never get more than 2 Embraces for every 3 physick/adlo.

TL;DR: Don't assume you will always get an Embrace to stack with your current heal on the same target.
