I've been using a middle-ground between total macro warfare and full-auto for my manual Embrace. Unlike most people it seems, I don't macro it to Physick. I do something like this

/micon "Embrace" pet
/pac "Embrace" <mo>
/pac "Embrace" <f>
/wait 2
/pac "Embrace" <f>
/wait 2
/pac "Embrace" <f>
/wait 2
/pac "Embrace" <f>
/wait 2
/pac "Embrace" <f>
/wait 2
/pac "Embrace" <f>
/echo <se.15> Reapply Embrace! <se.15>

I have 2 other versions with <2> and <3>, the latter used for things with heavy tank swapping where my focus target will be a non-tank (boss usually, or other healer in Ifrit EX).

The first line with <mo> is if I need to use this as a spambutton on any random party member. The remainder is devoted to healing the designated target. With /wait 2, roughly 3 of the Embraces will fire correctly before you need to reapply the macro. This also leaves a small window where fairy can still auto-cast. I've tried different /wait times; 1 only gets 2 off at best so it needs too much reapplying, 3 is just short because of the delay between pet receiving command and actually casting. You would need a significant amount of spell speed to force /wait 3 to work.

Is it maximum efficiency? Nope. But then I'd argue manual Embrace macros have never been needed to clear any current content.
