I respect your opinion, and on some points I'd agree but on many others I'd have to disagree, hence why I made the post.I like to live with facts and the fact is that the last time i was this invested in a final fantasy title it was with FF 10. I'm also not that huge of a fan of MMO's. This game give's me feelings about a FF title that I never found again after FFX, so yeah, it's worthy of the final fantasy title.

As someone who doesn't discriminate against FF titles, this game is far from the FF standard imo. It's an imitator.I like to live with facts and the fact is that the last time i was this invested in a final fantasy title it was with FF 10. I'm also not that huge of a fan of MMO's. This game give's me feelings about a FF title that I never found again after FFX, so yeah, it's worthy of the final fantasy title.
Forums are a great source for situational information, update specifications, multimedia and general chatter with the browsing minority of fellow players. Ah yes, most of the subscribed players actually never visit here.
When you start noticing a solid group of people raging and downplaying a game, remember that their sole intend is to annoy. There is no arguing their dislike, they are done. That’s all there is to it.
Look at it from another angle and see a group people burning through games as if there is no worthwile tomorrow, complaining about what they are doing to themselves. Wasting. It's a vicious cycle, somewhat comparable that of an addict. At the last phase, they blame everything but themselves.
The message? Just a general reminder. Enjoy yourselves. Arguing online with the intend to clash, what is that about? If people turn around it’s not because of some savior post on a forum. Let bygones be bygones. Spend your free time on things you enjoy. With that being said

If I started this thread to annoy others, I'd use a lot more obscenities and expletives and attack the people on a more personal level not the argument... much like your post. I'm not here to call people names such as "addict" for addressing my concerns, and hoping for positive discussion. There is no rage here. (Read *Straw Man Argument*)
I personally believe the game has alot of flaws, flaws that don't justify me paying monthly for a game I'm not fully enjoying. There's still lots of content in the game for me to "burn through", I'd rather not though. It's not my cup of tea.
I enjoy alot of the things this game does and would like to see it grow beyond its flaws, a projected future SE hasn't said they would address.

Button smashing? LOL This game is no where near what I have seen as button smashing (Ever play killer instinct? Now THAT'S button smashing)
Anywho, this thread is just a spawn of many Satan's so I'm done here. Have fun in the game dude.

I feel the same way. Made a thread about it myself, even. My problem is that most of the content feels so similar (move to a mob/group of mobs, cycle rotation until they're dead while avoiding the red stuff, move on to the next mob/group) that it makes everything as a while feel tons more monotonous than it should. If there were more to it, I could see myself exited to log on again like I used to be (and want to be).
I can't even get myself pumped up for the new content because it just feels more of the same to me.

Seriously, AFAIK FFXIV: A Realm Reborn is the only Final Fantasy I know, without elemental affinities (completely negligible in this game), it feels so backwards killing Ifrit with Fire spells.
If Black Mage didn't have a set rotation, but spells of all affinities based on the monster and spells called their traditional FF name (when I cast Fire 2 I would like to see Fira, not Fire 2) give black mage Enfeeble spells such as Enfire, Enearth, Enwater, Enlightning that he could use on his teamates, as well as unaspected spells.
Small changes like that could go a long, long way.

YP removed the elemental wheel because he didn't want certain jobs to get excluded.
Funny thing, that's happening anyway. I get turned down for so many things (mostly EX Primals and Coil) JUST BECAUSE I'M DRAGOON!
Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't get the memo that said I had to be WHM, PLD, BRD or BLM or gtfo. I also love that even though I have every job @ 50, weekly caps/lockouts keep me from gearing them so I can be a useful member to my FC.
Oh wait! But there's crafting you say? Yes, why not spent millions and millions of gil on crafted armor and melds that are only going to be made invalid next patch, rather than gear that was farmed for "free" from doing content. Oh and I can't sell any of it back or recover the materia used, nor can I freely meld whatever stats I want without a cap like in 1.23 (you could only put certain stats on certain items, but there were no hard caps on the amount you could increase them by, only the how many materia you could slot e.g. +350 HP belt for +200 attack weapon)

The reason they took out elemental weaknesses is because in 1.x everyone and their mother rolled thaumaterge and used nothing but thunder because nothing resisted it.
Also you think blm as is would even be allowed to do Ifrit when their strongest attacks are fire spells?
