I read this and got all excited, then I read how you do it and got a little sad. I was playing on my 60g PS3, can't do that on there.
That post makes me think DX11 version is even further out.....
Specifically because of
"However, this coming summer we plan to release the game in China and after that we have plans for an expansion pack so when we finish those, we will be looking to complete the DirectX milestone. With that in mind, after we successfully launch A Realm Reborn in China and begin work on the expansion pack – I believe that around that time that we may be able to speak more about the DirectX 11 client for Windows."
So china in summer, THEN expansion pack and THEN DX11 :'(

So, how do you write chineese only in chineese ?

The CN version is done in collaboration with a localization company iirc, as is the norm on the mainland, and so they will have segregated servers.

yeah I am not sure if there is a way to do this on the PS3 as I play on the japanese version on my PS3 (no need to mess with anything) =(
PS3,PS4 use DirectX so not likely to happen. Bit of a PIA to constantly have to code for both. Probably a large reason there's no Mac version.
Im sorry but this is an utterly ridiculous idea.
I have the game on PS3 and PC, and I can't stand to play it on PS3 because it looks so terrible. Of course the only reason it is on PS3 is because they want to maximize subs but in the end it will bite SE in the ass. The nextgen consoles were long overdue and still tethering your game processing to that ancient technology will definitely be a major factor in sub losses in the long run.

It's not set in stone and plans always change but they're actually looking into moving away from the PS3 in the future, so there you go.
