Oh god if they would add a sky type event, 50% of people would quit immediately I think.

I liked sky. If they just made pop items a little more standardized. instead of different of each god it would have been that much better.
The term "raid" has no requirement in terms of number of participants. I raid my roommate's snack cabinet all the time, yet I am only one person. No, people don't want to use it because it's a stigmatized word used to refer to essentially all of WoW's endgame, complicated or not, it's bland it's boring it's dull. It's a little bit of WoW bashing, and a little bit of "oh no that's wrong."
How can you seriously consider a 4-8 person dungeon a 'raid' anyway? It's more like an exploration.
But don't go putting words in our mouths, you're free to your opinion as I am to mine, and to use the word 'raid' to potentially label all group related content from dungeons to missions from here on out would be a travesty and just plain retarded.
And anyways, people who play WoW rarely referred to the raids as "raids." They had names too. Like Molten Core, Naxxramus, Blackwing Lair, Zul'Garab, Karazhan, etc. And these were further shortened to abbreviations: MC, Nax, BWL, ZG, Kara, and so on. Normally players refer to the shortened names. When asked, "What are you doing tonight?" The response would be something like, "Doing MC." Not, "I'm raiding."
It's just a general term that people will rarely use in this game too. Get over it.
Yes I do have a My Little Pony sig because I'm not a complete loser who lives in his own little world, proclaiming something is stupid because I say so.
A little bit of WOW bashing? You guys are freaking out and splitting hairs because the devs and community reps dared use a term that's also used in WOW. What's next, you're going to freak out if they call something a 'mailbox' instead of 'delivery mog' or 'bank' instead of 'vault'? The term is not bland, nor dull, nor boring. It's a descriptive term used for a broad range of activities, that may or may not include end-game, and may or may not include over a dozen players. Jesus christ man, it's a WORD.
A 'raid' has no requirements on how many members do the raiding. I don't know where this came from. How can you seriously consider a 4-8 person dungeon a 'raid' anyway? It's more like an exploration.
I honestly don't know what words I put in your mouth. You don't want to use the term because it's not a FF term. What the real travesty and stupidity here is that you're literally freaking out over the devs using a generic blanket term because another MMO also happens to use this word. It's nothing but a generic term to describe a concept, man. They're not replacing dungeon names with it; otherwise, they wouldn't have named the damn dungeons. But don't go putting words in our mouths, you're free to your opinion as I am to mine, and to use the word 'raid' to potentially label all group related content from dungeons to missions from here on out would be a travesty and just plain retarded.
