Minion Battles!

Yes, although this is ripped straight from WoW, please don't bite my head off about it.

But! I loved Minions Battles! You could level them up and que battles online with people. It gave more value and worth to minions and collecting, while currently their just for vanity. I think this would be a great addition to use with the Duty Finder. Thoughts?

Considering Minions were stated by Yoshi himself to be useless and just to give a goal to casual players, that adds too much content to something that serves no purpose and would then force people to collect minions who never cared for them if the content offered rewards that's fairly decent.

So it would be fun, but it goes against his design philosophy. If they add in an enhanced version of Monstrosity or Panrakton from FFXI (Precedence in FF MMOs) then it would be a pretty fun system.

I would love to see minion battles, personally. If they added some to the world like WOW did, it would give people a reason to explore the world again. Also, they could have weekly/month tournaments as part of the Golden Saucer when it lands.

Tupsi: It wouldn't force anyone to do anything. I mean, I hate PVP and I don't participate at all. But, that doesn't mean I dislike that it's in the game or that PVPers may get special rewards.

More varied content > less varied content.

Its the primary reason of keeping old content still relevant. From a business aspect it keeps the users doing something more than just the new content and burning through it. Vanity Gear is a great example. If your bored or want to mix and match your outfit, you can try to farm that specific look from a old dungeon, which without that no one would most likely do unless their new. Any way they can tie in vanity into something worthwhile and fun is better than /afk piece that has a nice shimmer.

They got rid of that thankfully. It was annoying as all hell targeting people's minions while you're trying to target enemies lol.

You can disable targeting minions, more annoying would be if you get hit by a boss mecanic because you were staring at the minion lol.
