waiting 4 days for a fix to my bugged story quest

Its been 4 days now since I first sent a report about the quest blood for blood being bugged and not allowing me to further progress in the story. The response I received, "I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with Main Quest Blood for Blood bugged . This matter has already been brought to our attention and is currently under investigation by development. I recommend checking Here or Here for any updates in the future!" Which seems to be a very generic response given to most posters. The links I was given brought me to a thread confirmed/ planning to address: nothing about my problem or any similar problems. The second link brought me to the fixed thread which again nothing helpful and my problem is obviously not fixed. Being that this is a game I spent a lot of money on to play and not being able to move further into the game. it is discouraging and depressing that this issue has not been resolved or any form of information about the issue is on the links you provided me.

The sequence for the quest is:

#1 Show the bloody encyclical to Joellaut.
#2 Show the bloody encyclical to Prunilla.
#3 Confront Prunilla and cast /doubt on her account.
#4 Search the area southeast of Whitebrim Front.
#5 Search the suspicious box.
#6 Present your findings to Drillemont.

Assuming you have done all this already...just a thought, but have you checked to see if you can abandon the quest to start it over?

I'm up to the part where I need to search the suspicious box. Doing so gives me the animation that I'm searching it but after it has completed the animation nothing happens. No journal update or map update. There's no way to abandon the quest either it was my first thought because I've had to do it before on another quest.

If I recall, i had similar confusion

...until I realized that examining the box spawned some mobs nearby. Either Gigas or cyclopse, I don't remember.

Anyways, they aren't always spawned right on top of you, so look for them in the general area.

Unfortunately as I said nothing happens when I search the box. No mobs spawn, no journal/map update. It possible I killed the mobs already it was 4 days ago so I don't recall but trying to use the box now does absolutely nothing. **edit not sure what happened but it finally updated just as I posted this thanks for your help and I'm glad to have this resolved finally**
