PS3 Final Fantasy 14 Version Disconnect Issues.

Its literally disconnecting me every 10 to 5 mins, its absolutely ridiculous. Literally no one on the ps3 version can play right now. By the way it isn't my internet, i logged onto the pc version and tested the connection. Stood in town for 30 mins without a hiccup or any disconnections. Seriously square enix, update your crappy ps3 servers. You guys act like no one on earth would ever play the ps3 version now that the ps4 is out.. is extremely annoying - -.

When you're playing on PS3, are you using wireless or wired?

Dude its not my network lol, i said i tested it on my pc and it worked just fine. IT was just on the ps3 version that i had these issues. By the way, my connection to the ps3 is by cable not wireless.

I can totally understand your frustration but myself and quite a lot of my friends and FC members play on the PS3 version and not getting disconnection issues. I used to get constant disconnection issues before changing providers and my router. Having your PC working fine is not evidence enough that your provider/network may not be causing the issue with the way it is handling the information transmitted and received by the PS3 as it uses totally different ports than a PC generally uses.

I'm not saying you're not having issues because I've no doubt you are but checking out the port forwarding for the PSN and FFXIV may help resolve your problems.

Yeah its pretty frustrating, but its what i get for giving into xfinity :\. I'll try out this "port forwarding for the PSN and FFXIV", hopefully it works ;_;, thanks for the advice.

Got same problem. Also PS3-player. Have wire 100/100Mbit connection and only lag-delay-disconnect problems is with this game. Have stopped playing on PS3 because of this, but have been playing the PS4-beta. None of the mentioned problems when on PS4. So my guess is for the PS3 this game wont work for all people, some PS3-players in my FC dont have this disconnect 90k -3102 problems except some lag-delay issue. So i'll wait for the PS4-release and if these problems dont also appear on PS4 I will continue playing or else I will quit and change game.

But do also beware to complain to much. I did get a 3 week ban from this forum without using cursing or racial slurs or spaming. Only complaining about the PS3's present gameplay problems and finding it unacceptable..

I've found game updates on the PS3 a bit iffy in general. It's not uncommon for people to have to delete a download and retry several times--especially with the larger ones. I always chalked it up to something going on with the link to Sony during the process--who knows. So, it could simply be something going on in your specific region that is causing instability with the route the PS3 is taking (it follows a slightly different routine than the PC with it's security and such). May have to try a direct connect to your modem with the shortest/fastest cable you have (want Cat5e or higher for the better shielding) and simply keep trying. I had to download Left Behind 4 times last month before it finally got a good pull---5GB downloads each time, plus the time to attempt to install it, only to have it fail about half way through. Didn't stress over it though. How it goes sometimes with the PS3... nothing new.

Oops... had too many threads open at once... thought this was a thread about issues updating the game. But, some of it still applies. The Sony console versions of games have always worked a little differently than the PC ones, so there could very well be a connectivity issue that is specific to the PS3 process that may not be in play because you are testing against a different platform.
