    Need input for Ifrit EX

So I've been attempting Ifrit EX for a while now and haven't quiet gotten it. There's only been a couple of healing issues which I generally work around, but I'm constantly looking to improve my game.

Now, the point of this is to ask opinions on Static Healers vs rotating healers. I generally do static, but every once in a while the other healer won't answer when I ask if we're static and then assume we're rotating. I'm not really sure how to properly rotate. I've seen a few videos of what I think is rotating, but I need a better understanding of what to do.

Decide where you are both standing.
Whoever is howled make sure they are on otherside of map when he starts dashing.
Otherwise shouldnt be any other problems

I think the issue I'm running into is when one healer gets the debuff, and the DPS would continue the normal path instead of compensating for the debuff and possibly changing their rotation. Then, so the healer wouldn't blow them up, would rotate to the 6'o'clock position and be out of the range of the tanks. Then then tanks would take a couple of huge hits and die as the other healer couldn't keep them up since they die in between heal casts.

My group does rotating healers rather than static healers. Static tends to interfere with melee more and it never quite works optimally. The way we rotate is that our tank pulls ifrit to cardinal north, I (WHM) start on the west side, and the SCH starts on the east side. We each focus target the other (important.) If the east side gets debuffed first, we both stay in place at east and west until west side gets debuffed. Once west side is debuffed the east side healer moves in to the center with the group. That healer (the one in the center) will watch the status bar of the other healer and when their debuff is at about 3 seconds you switch places. So the healer about to get the debuff moves west, and the other moves to center.

You pretty much keep this up the whole time, with the exception of the nails. During the nail phase the healer with the debuff is on the west as normal. Our DPS start clearing nails on the east side and work clockwise, the non-debuffed healer can go with them to AOE cure. By the time the non-debuffed healer is about to get the debuff, the east side is clear of nails so they stand there instead of going west. Once nail phase is over you go back to healer on the west side. Note: the cardinal directions get screwy due to plume placement; use the same relative placement but you won’t be direct west.

If you’re rotating its very important to watch your debuff countdown and your co-healer’s. This gets difficult during chaotic nail phase when tanks are swapping and you’re AOE curing the melee, but once you get accustomed it becomes second nature.
    Good luck!

there is another, IMO easier way to rotate if the melee dps can't handle swapping targets, or if the other healer can't handle their job. rather than standing on opposite sides and switching, simply have both healers on one side! first healer gets howl, other healer moves to center. at 4 seconds left, other healer moves to side and first healer moves to center. finally, healer who is going to get howl next after jump moves south like usual. doing it this way means:

    a) DPS don't have to adjust. searing wind will always be on the one side.
    b) there is always a healer in the middle for AOE healing during nails.
    c) IMO, it's easier and less confusing/taxing on inexperienced healers than swapping sides every time.

Thanks for the info. These explanations make a lot more sense.

to be honest i wonder why the healers should swap at all. healers already have to concentrate a lot in this fight so the dps should not be that lazy and just check which healer has the debuff. and ifrit anyway turns either to left or right when he is giving the debuff so the dps for sure should be able to see it easily.
like this the healers are always on the same spot and they just have to swap once in the last phase. the less a healer has to move the more he can heal. never forget that. and dps rly does not have a hard job at ifrit....
