What Have You Done To Enhance Your FFXIV Experience?

Anything...could be you bought a new PC, new GPU, switched servers, found a new FC, tried new jobs...anything.

Me, I finally decided it was time to transfer servers. I was originally on a JP Legacy server and at the beginning it was fine because I like to play early in the mornings, but lately I had been running into issues with finding PTs in the afternoon. I dropped the cash, made the move to Excalibur and despite the occasional server congestion, I'm much happier.

    What about you?

    - Bought a new hardware (RAM, GPU, CPU, MOBO) except from HDD.
    - Switched from Kujata to Masamune (Legacy) though I'm not sure if I made the right choice back then, because well, you know I'm stucked here in Legacy servers until who knows when.

well i did found an FC but it was formed before the games launch.. so.. i dont think this counts XD
I am leveling other classes but... it is more so to help fill the roles needed to help people from LS/FC...
Joining some fun LS sure helps as well...
but what i think really helped me to extend the fun time i have with the game is having a job, an actual job XD, so i dont spend the whole day playing and burn out myself from the game...

Can't agree with this more...I also learned to stop trying to do everything quickly, and just enjoy the experience. Taking a break from your regular FFXIV routine, or just FFXIV in general is always a great idea.

Stalling mostly. I understand how endgamers are frustrated but managing play-time has helped a lot. I still have main story quests to do but them ending is something I dread the most. To me FF is all about the story and if it just ends I think I'd just be done.

For now I'm focusing on crafting and 3ds games and maybe the expansion will be done at some point to get me back full-time.
Don't expect there to be years of content for this or any MMO that was just released. Maybe in few years ARR will be there.

    Roleplaying.

It's amazing how much time you fill with it, and all the things that make you busy. I also run the books for the Free Company I'm in, so that tends to keep me VERY much busy. On top of that I take time to help people, friends, friends of friends, and FC mates. The result is that I have more to do than I have time to do it and my endgame goals wind up taking a back seat.

I was just commenting with a friend the other day how we feel so vastly different than the number of people on the forums here claiming they are bored. We can't help but speculate that many are just leaving the responsibility of filling their time solely in the hands of Square Enix - a philosophy we simply don't agree with.

Finding a good FC is most likely going to improve ones quality of life.

For me, the biggest thing is not rushing. I did my first battle class 50 on story, 2nd and 3rd 50 on fates. However for my 4th and 5th, I have been using the daily roulette for low level and guildheist. I pop both of those a day for one class. On the other class, I use leve's and the occasional fate, if it pops on me. I am much happier. I wont get 50 in a week, but it is much more stress free.

I normally do those in conjunction with a high level roulette a day to max myth, and one or 2 CT's a week. I also do Coil on Sat. with my static.

Those above things have improved FFXIV so much, where prior to 2.1, i got completely burnt out, and even stop playing for 2 weeks.

Joined a FC that has dedicated groups for progression.

I had to ditch my FC I made with my friends so I could make it past T4 and ex primals. I hate to say my gameplay was enhanced by ditching my social FC, but you gotta do what you gotta do. That's what friendlists and linkshells are for.
