    Fire-spitting Image

    Quest introduction for "Fire-Spitting Image":

Yadovv Gah: It is an iron statuette forged in the sacred flames of Ifrit, and possessed of a potent aura that invigorates any of the faithful that draw near. Though we have seized several of these idols before, their god-tempered nature rendered them irritatingly difficult to destroy.

The sacred flames of Ifrit... I find it awkward that a member of the Brotherhood would define them as "sacred". More likely "accursed", "unholy" or "demonic".

Hmm. . .I haven't made it far into the BoA quests, but my impression of them was that, while they recognize Ifrit as a deity, their concerns are more in the dishonor being brought to the Amalj'aa race by the actions of his worshipers. Thus, I would not be surprised to see them describe his flames as "sacred."

Having gone a little further, I noticed that another of the quests put "sacred flame" explicitly in inversted commas.

The dishonour through deeds is certainly a focus of the Brotherhood, but this is focused on deriving from becoming thrall to a false deity and thus forgetting what the ways of their race truly mean.
