How come more people dont stream this game?

Why would anyone wanna stream their games? I dont get it at times.

Competition, ok understandable. Donation drives, ok.. other then these 2, what else?

The interaction, largely. A lot of Twitch casters like to play a game and be able to chat with the audience.

Some people probably just like to show off how good they are too, I'm sure.

Because it doesn't get viewers. People probably rather play the game than watch someone play.

I tried for awhile but I'm having issues with the capture. Both programs I have Xsplit and OBS have trouble with frame skips.

Same. My internet is fine for every other game, yet FFXIV skipa a lot of frames... XSplit skips less but I prefer OBS. What's odd is that I can stream huge FATE's fine, yet the second I enter an instance (even it we're just stood there with no combat), it skips waayyy too many frames.

To me, watching FFXIV without the music isn't exciting. So I only watch when there's no commentaries.

It was a hot item when the game launched actually, but it seems to be down overall on twitch. I guess folks just don't want to see another WoW-like game just with FF themes, when they could be watching WoW.


Also, it really does come down to personality more than anything. I've mostly just done hearthstone, though I intend to do some Let's Plays on my PS4 come March (also wishing Sony would hurry up with those firmware updates - still can't upload straight to twitch or archive broadcasts which annoys the hell out of me.)

I streamed a raid one time, had like 90 people at one point. Nearly 99% of them were doing nothing but shit talking and name calling. We have a few females in our FC and they got the brunt of the crap. (you must be a fat hoe/i bet your ugly as sin thats why you game, stuff like that). THIS is the reason i personally don't stream anymore. No one ever has anything constructive to say.

I've test streamed with OBS before, last year I think and there was no problems at all. Could it be hardware based or just a network bandwidth problem?

I mean, honestly world of warcraft has one of the top spots on twitch 24.7 yet we are so far behind in viewers/ and streamers?

I play games, I see no point in watching others do it .. that fact that large numbers of people consider WOW an e-sport is sad.
