    Primal, bosses, and their battle system

    Referring to primal battles, dungeon bosses, why are the fights so routinely rehearsed as to where if I don't follow step by step actions of a video strategy guide, players usually quit? Wouldn't it be nice if battles were more "real-time" at the moment decision making then just robotically rehearsed.

    I advocate the idea of having a primal mode, where the primals execute their attacks in a random but potentially doable order. That would truly demand some skill. (Especially of a random-order attacking Titan, that would be my favorite)

    Think about how many people can't kill these fights now and they're scripted. It would be fun, but I would never pug it. Not even if there was a fire

    Mostly you are right, but a lot of that I don't blame on people not not being able to do it, but Internet connection and so forth. Have a random battle would be fine if given enough reaction time to react.

    Whilst i partly agree with OP idea but it can be problematic since rng will take big majority factor to kill the boss.
    In example, bomb comes with landslide in bad timing, Table flip after Table flip, Tamult after Tamult.

    And even they are currently scripted, ppl still can't kill them.

    Honestly, it's like playing nes genesis and snes games again. R-type or battle toads or contra. Where it's not your twitch reaction that matters but how well you can memorize patterns. Makes the victories feel a little hollow. It's more about how well you know the choreography than your ability to play the game.

    My point of what I'm making is to have more strategies being made of how the fight should be handled then just routine pattern following since were in parties of players.
    This would make parties play more than just having players quit because someone doesn't already know the standard boss pattern.

    There's a smidge of this already, where there are multiple preconceived strategies that the group decides on before going in. As far as true fluidity, that's unlikely to happen anytime soon, sadly.
