Well they could let each player choose one card to put up as the prize at the start of the game orYou thought of a great variation to the Triple Triad game of FFVIII (my fav FF minigame of all time) and some very interesting ways to implement card collection and incorporating jobs/materia to the cards. I really like this idea! The only thing this needs is some way to either take/destroy a card from the opposing player's deck upon losing for a few reasons.
they could even let you choose gil i guess i do think your right in regards there needs to be a way to
lose your cards though.

They could also add some of the rare cards to the treasure hunt drops
rewards from fates and even philo/myth tome exchange for some.
I do like the idea of spiritbonding the cards but i don't think the cards should be crafted although i do think
crafting classes should play some part in it which was why i thought they could slot materia to the cards.
I think it would be better if anyone could just go get the cards with a soultrapper and plates.
Adding a card game is a great idea! I miss FFVIII's card game, in my opinion it was the best part. The one TC suggested sounds very involved could be allot of fun.

When i thought of the idea for a card game i tried to incorporate as many jobs in the game as possible
including dol and doh this way everyone can get involved it should also help with the economy in general.
It also gives people a reason to leave the cities and explore to get pics of monsters for cards![]()
Thread bump for exposure!
FFXIV needs a card game!!
NAO!!!![]()
Card games are good!
I vote YES!!!
Remember in VIII where you could turn an enemy into a card? with it having a rare, really rare chance of being a boss card?![]()
That gets my vote on card aquisition.
