If they rename the class would it be warrior or would it be dark knight? Right now I'd be leaning towards warrior, but I wonder where that would leave dark knight.

Yeah it looks sorta warrior-ish. I know War on XI used lots of heavy axes.
Berserker or Geomancer please.
Warrior works fine too.

Gosh darn it.
Im thinking warrior but with dark knight as an advance class.
This class doesn't really need to be renamed, IMO.
I agree. renaming it makes absolutely no sense.
i'm hoping we have Warrior and Dark knight as advanced classes of marauder, but not having it renamed.
But if i was gonna give it a "closer" name to what it is, i'd name it buccaneer or pirate since, from classic classes, closest one would be Viking (but that also would be completely out of current limsa context).
I thought this thread was a hypothetical question, not us actually wanting it.
But who knows, maybe the devs might overlook that and think we actually do want a rename.
Gosh darn it.
And You know, it would be cool to leave it as it is, and make advance classes for it, with class specific armor for the advance classes and let the "base" classes use the armor already released for their discipline.
I really hope they don't rename it. As for an advanced class, SE would have to make it pretty different than MRD for me to level up another class.
