How do you level more than 3 "Fighting" Classes if there are only 3 starting areas?

Hypothetically speaking lets say someone wants to get a Gladiator, Conjurer, Archer and Marauder all to level 50.

Each of the four of them start at level one when you equip that weapon type. But you cant repeat low level quests at all. Plus there are only three starting areas. So once I try the fourth skill will I just need to grind kill mobs to level up that skill?

Not sure what starting area has to do with it outside of the perspective of the main story line.. Each class will have it's own Hunt Log and class quests. Quests alone aren't going to get you to 50, it will be a combination of quests, hunt logs, FATEs, and running dungeons as they become available.

Okay lets say for argument sake I have three classes at 50, I now pick Conjurer. It starts at lvl 1. I have no more LOW LEVEL quests because I did all of the level 1-10 quests in all three cities. I will have Conjurer class quests but it wont be enough to get me to level.

So basically with my level 1 Conjurer, I need to start killing ladybugs...non-stop...

You start killing whatever your hunting log asks you to kill. You also participate in any FATEs you come across, and maybe burn a few leve allowances. You're level 10 in no time and can add in guildhests, and then dungeons when you hit 15. From then on, you do FATEs if there are enough people doing them in your level range, and you queue for dungeons, while burning leve allowances and/or participating in FATEs and/or grinding chain bonuses on mobs your level while you wait on the queue. Add in the daily roulette, which will get you one level a day on its own up through the low 30s.

You can solo a lot of low level fates plus your hunting long and it should not take than long then once you are 15 you can start dungeons .

See if you can find a friend to help with hunt logs, just doing the lv1-10 and lv11-20 will get you to lv15 with hardly any quests at all. Then you start running dungeons. That's pretty much it. More side quests open up as you level, and there will be new hunt logs every 10 levels, throw in some FATEs and Leves while waiting for a dungeon and you'll be 50 in no time.

    Hi there donjn, newbie here.

I also reached the point I can visit the other cities and realized and had this same question. In my case, I already decided to use the main quests for my arcanist, Gridania low quests for conjurer and Uldah low quests for thaumaturge. It is true that after for example raising those three, I'd have technically a trouble for upgrade others later, but.... Not really.

I checked and, except my arcanist (main class) conjurer and thamaturge gains 50% + exp in battle, and probably also FATEs. But like some people said, you can still using the logs, open the recommendations for a zone where you are will tell you which mobs your class could kill there for the log. Also, there's that quest of the guild every 5 levels that is helpy too, the daily roulette, levequests... (But personally I like to use levequests for Disciples of the Land or Disciples of the Hand).

    Regards.

All you really need to do is get to 15 to unlock dungeons and then you're set.

The Hunting Log, a few FATEs here and there and maybe some Leves will get you there, no sweat. The 50% experience increase (that you can double with the 50% from rested experience) also makes a big difference for those first few levels.
