Little confused about quests

I'm a altoholic, I love to play other power sets. But I've been reading around and it seems that alts don't get the standard quests that your main did.

Is this true? I'm a little worried about making my main and half way through I realize I'm not too keen on him.

Hello DaftLapin. Welcome to the group and thank you for sharing.

Alts get all the same quests the main does, except possibly for legacy characters. I can't speak to those.
I think the confusion comes from the need for alts at all. Since your character can take all of the classes and level whichever one you feel like at the time, why create an alt? So the discussion about lack of available/starting quests is not for alts but when leveling new classes for your main.

Hi and welcome

The main storyline as with any of the other sidequests cannot be repeated with the same character, regardless of powerset/job they are using. Using an Alt/mule/differnt charcter can do all the missions once as well. So don't worry if you swap to another character, you will start at the begining anyway so the story line can be done.

If you choose to just play around with the power sets on your main toon, then yes the story line can only be done once, but there are sooo many side missions in and around each city that it isn't that hard to level up lol.

Thanks guys! That cleared it up big time. So everything I was reading about was about the mains going at it again.

The main reason I like alts is because the new look it gives me. And I have mad issues
