Fish. When do they stop sensing something is amiss?

Whenever this happens to me just moving a little distance away from where i was previously fishing seems to get rid of this. Seems to work for all my FC members.

Same. When was fishing Silver Sovereigns got the message - moved 1 step outside the fishing hole area (I believe that is the name of area on fishing log right?), catched 1 fish and stepped back in to go on with Silver Sovereigns.

They must have tweaked this. I now have to go to a different hole. Before a small movement was enough now no matter where I stand the fish are on to me.

It was always like this. What you've probalbly missed is that there are two timers / counters - first for the actual (mini-)spot your standing / sitting on while fishing at given location - that coould be reset simply by moving a few steps aside - and another "larger" one for the whole fishing area which takes longer to fill up and can be reset only by visiting and casting in another location.

Well I am not sure about times. But I used to be able to fish for three and a half hours at Urths Gift. All I ever did was shift a little same with wife. Now at sixty minutes if i don't go down to Goblinblood I can not get anymore fish there period. So it has changed.

That happen to me once and no matter how far i went or how much time i was away still was getting the message. What i did was go to a different location were you can fish, cast the line and catch the fish and just afk for a while there with the pole out. After i did that the message disapear from the location i was originally fishing.

I pretty much figured by now with everyone claiming the game is so easy we have a definite answer to how long you can fish before getting fatigued. That is what were talking about after all.

Trying to catch my Silver Sovereigns I've had this problem (today's problem is the 3rd time in my whole FFXIV career) and decided to look it up and found this thread.

First 2 times I just logged out, but today I still haven't fished my treasure map, so I teleported to fish my map, hoping that the "hard fatigue" only limits to the same location (fishing hole). To my relief, I was able to fish for my map just fine, which happens to resonate with Andra's trick.

Thanks for letting me know, so now I can go back to Moraby Drydocks for more fishing.

So for this case the 1-cast-trick seems to work fine.

So what i do now is: After i ported to Moraby Drydocks i cast my line into the waters at the docks, catch one fish, then go to the Silver Sovereign spot, fish there from 10pm to 10am, quit, come back at 10pm and repeat the rotation. =)

Like I said, I reach a point where no matter how far you try to move, it doesn't stop. I'll move from the entrance to Cape Westwind to the other end and still not be able to fish. Whereas normally I can just move a few feet and it clears up.

From what people have observed, this is some kind of bugged glitch or anti-botting measure. It can apparently be triggered if you eat food too soon after you reel a fish in, or somesuch. You have to move to an entirely differently named fishing area and fish there to reset when this happens.

caught all my silver sovereign without food. This still happen quite often though. Only need to fish 1 time on other fishing spot then come back.

Hello all you have to do in this very rare scenario is move to any location outside the area fish once there and move back to that area, this should solve the problem this is caused when you fish for a very very long time, its when they sense a bot or something and they do this method so they think you aren't just farming in 1 location for the whole game iswell its a bit silly I know but this should solve your problem anyway, thanks.
