    Old thread I know...

A parser is one of the most useful tools for endgame content, and even more valuable to "big name" guilds. Even in a pug dungeon, PvP, a pug helping a guild out in a raid whatever that 1 persons performance is honestly very important to all party member's.

The argument some use, to just pay attention to what others are doing and its fairly obvious to see who is not pulling there weight is a decent strategy honestly. And, people that claim meters can increase, or even cause elitism in a games community are in some way correct imo. I personally feel people that take that argument are either afraid they will not pull the numbers or are unable too. But, that is in no way the point of this post, and I am sure some that feel that way could top any meter any raid night maybe

going to have to learn to type shorter post here lol....anyway since it has a word limit, here is my actual point intended for the post above

Personally I feel a parser is a vital if not mandatory tool for a healer, or a dps at least for me when I first get to max level with a new class or even after a major patch to a classes combat mechanics. Granted 99% of rotations in mmorpgs are fairly easy, and common sense if you read the tool tips (granted I primarily play melee so lol) but I have been raiding for years on multiple games many people have not had that experience and could probably use some help getting rotations, and CD timing down at max level. I do not need it to harass a random in a dungeon parties and in fact normally mute the random try hard that post the meter because he topped on trash or something lol. And, I do not have the time to attempt world first raid kills or anything. But, its use in basic theory crafting, and it providing factual and dissectible information. It is also imo a much better way for a new player to learn their rotation and they will receive actual feedback on mistakes, and more importantly imo when they start to improve. To me that is a better way to learn to dps for example than coming to a raid and causing issue because you are under performing.
