Why can't we have the ability to create accurate Parser?

I honestly don't understand the logic behind this. People are not going to stop using parsers, nor will it ever be anything more than a tool. It is very useful and many of us love it.

Forget the negativity that comes with it, I'm tired of hearing "I hate parsers". Will it is not going to stop anyone from using it.

PvP already have an accurate parser and SE does have one which they use internally. So why not allow us to at least create an accurate one?

Before you start typing X reasons for not wanting SE to fix their intentionally broken battle logs, think about what I said, it is not going to stop players from using it, it is a very handy tool.

    I disagree.

There are 7 other people in your raid progression party. Parsers were "a very handy tool" when you had 39 other people in your raid progression party.

I don't understand, how is it any less of a tool when there are fewer people in your raid?

I would love for Square to add their own parser to the game. As a tank its very easy to know if I'm doing my job well or not, but when playing a dps its all just guess work now without a parser.

Because it is not that hard to use your own two eyes to see if someone is being gimp or not.

How is this even a logical response? You're right, you can usually see how gimp someone is with your own two eyes. You can also equip an ilvl 90 weapon and know that you're doing more DPS than you did with your ilvl 80 one. Do you know EXACTLY how much though? Are you going to glue your eyes to the log and write down each point of damage on your napkin and break it down after 5 turns of coil?

Didn't think so. Don't post just to hear yourself talk...

Do you need to know exactly how much DPS you and the other three dps in your party are doing? No. You don't. Did you meet the DPS checks? Grats. Did you not? Talk with your party.

Um yes it are. The whole reason of parser is for have accurate reading of dps and accuracy, thing you are for never know by reading combat log. There are reason people know BiS gear and necessary accuracy require for fight, and it are because of parser.

Never needed a parser in the old days, don't need one now. You should always look to better yourself, but Parsers are not the answer because they are far too open to abuse.

Parsers were the reason Rift Raiding was only ever completed by a small portion of folk early on, because they were using it to alienate certain builds based off an "Estimate" Delve that doesn't take into account real DPS in boss scenarios, heck Bards would parse terribly compared to other healers but it didn't stop players from progressing in the "real" situation.

I'm glad SE is against parsing tools, because they are nothing more than an estimate figure people use to shun folk because of their prefered playstyle.

Edit: Back in DaoC (before dps parsers even existed) I used to play a HeraTank (Melee Heretic) back then people thought stuff like that was cool and loved to see people succeed in different from the norm playstyles.

You're right. And since we can already tell if someone has low dps, that must mean the parser can do something else. Like self improvement or the improvement of your static.

Yes, jerks will use it to put others down, but jerks will do that regardless. A knife can be used to stab someone or you can prepare food with it. A parser can be used to insult people or to improve your performance.

Scenario one: You didn't meet a DPS check in FFXIV. Have the four DPS collaborate, how can we increase are DPS as a whole so that we can meet this DPS check?

Scenario two: You didn't meet a DPS check in vanilla WoW. You can't have 30 people all chime in and discuss how to increase the DPS. So you have one person look at the charts and call out the people in the lowest spots.

It's a completely different ball game.
