I would like to see this survey given to the player base now and would be curious to see the new answers.I wanted to know that too, and I found what I think everyone is referring to when they say "Viera already won" or when they talk about the "The official poll":

(Look at the end of the post, it's the last chart)

A: It's more like something we must have in the game and it's a meeting log from when we were talking about adding them as soon as possible. After we calculate the cost, we will first add the things that are must have. After that, we would like to move on to introducing other races such as Demi Human and Dragons.
this should be in first live letter i belive, and about viear well that was in interview, but not sure in which one...

I'd rather see an reptilian/avian race if they went for another animal. Mammals all look the same, except for the ears. Viera would be cute if they were almost Lala sized though... And bunny dudes wouldn't be weird at all >![]()
The lala-sized viera reminded me of the moogles from FFXII.

A race of battle-trained chameleons...

It's an ok addition, I guess. Since we can do everything on a single character, there really isn't much reason to reroll a new one just to look different. I might try to use a fantasia to turn myself into one if they ever let us change our character names. Right now I'm more interested in new content I can do on my current character and new class/job combinations.
What is this bs about male vieras being weird?
I think it would be awesome.
