FC Leader has gone

Greetings,

If a free company master has not logged in for 35 days, the leadership will automatically be transferred to the member who fulfills the below criteria:

• Has logged in within the past 7 days
• The highest ranking member in the free company hierarchy
• Earliest member to join the free company

Once the leadership has been transferred to a member, the old master will become a “member.”
This option is currently scheduled for implementation in patch 2.2 for anyone who would like to take advantage.

Question, though..

Our leader has already been absent for more than 40 days.. When 2.2 hits, are we going to have to wait another 35 days or will we be able to get a new leader as soon as 2.2 drops? It would be very helpful to know so that we can go ahead and get started on a new FC if we're going to have to wait another month after 2.2.

We're in the same boat. One of our members reached out to the old leader, and he claims to have uninstalled the game. Cross your fingers for both of us.

How do you know he is not coming back? It seems like they have the situation about to be handled but it's gonna take a little bit... I'm kinda worried about option 3 (Earliest member to join the free company) You may be 2nd in command and not have been one of the early members so that's kind of a draw back IMO...

Obviously you don't read before you post... I said that if someone is second in command but they have not been one of the first to join... Lets say they joined 6 months after someone else but there second in command, that implies that they don't meet criteria to have the leadership transferred... At what point did I say anything about anyone coming back and getting leadership... WAIT FOR IT WAIT FOR IT... YEAH LEARN HOW TO READ BEFORE MAKING A SNIDE COMMENT...!!!

I think you're the one who should learn how to read before making a "snide comment"
That list is a hierarchy of rules. It filters the potential new leader in that specific order, it doesn't just randomly pick a rule.
It would do this

1) Filter everyone who has logged in within the last 7 days -> More than 1 result? Move on to step 2. If there's only one result, that person would be the new leader.
2) Filter highest ranking members out of the results from step 1 -> More than 1 result? Move on to step 3. If there's only one result, that person would be the new leader.
3) Oldest member out of the results from step 2 is the new leader.

You do realize that is a speculation right? It says meets below criteria which could mean that you need to fill all forms of criteria in order to have the transfer happen... Its a vague reply with no actual explanation on how it is going to work...

Option 2 is "The highest ranking member in the free company hierarchy", so the person 2nd in command (second rank in hierarchy) would be given leadership so it wouldn't be an issue. If your FC has a Leader -> Sub-leader -> General population ranking system, change it to a Leader -> 2nd Leader -> Sub-leaders -> General population hierarchy and problem solved.

Criteria #3 is probably there in the event everyone is the same rank.
