Official FFXIV Guides

I loved the look of the Official Guides shown at the end of the last live letter! Does anyone know (or can a Dev comment) on whether they will be released in English as well? If so, is there a release schedule?

It would be nice if they were released in English as well but I seriously doubt it coming from FFXI. Almost all of their guides were Japanese only.

Like Nikita already mentioned, there's almost a guarantee these will be in Japanese only. What Yoshi was showing was not your standard strategy guide. It was an Ultimania book. These are thick A5 books with extremely in-depth lore/battle/scene data and they've always been Japanese only unfortunately. :/

I've got the collection for FF7-12, they're really great guides and well worth the cost if you're a big fan, even if you can't read the language directly.

Thanks for the responses and link. I love guides that go to that tiny developmental level of detail, real shame that they tend to be Japanese-only. Still, fingers crossed!

I remember yoshi said at one point he would not offer something to jp and not na as well, but yeah...

I am still waiting to buy my meteor survivor shirt and its been how long?? there was like a million people wanting this and they still dont offer it

I wouls really like to see a dev post here. I think the localization team would have a blast with this.

I can already see sites advertising import versions of just 1 of the 2 books for 50 bucks. You have to imagin that collectors would pay for the localized set with all the humor/puns/pop culture refrences those guys have comeup with in game.

I know I could throw $100-120 at the set. Its like a giant art book.
