    Can we have non-linear content?

Let me just start off by saying I really enjoy playing this game with my FC and friends, but there's just one thing that always sticks out to me. Just about everything you do only lets you follow one path to the end. Perhaps 8-24 player content that doesn't force you to follow one path each and every time? Crystal Tower (in its current incarnation) looks like something that could easily have you go left, right, or center first and do those paths in any order before taking on Archon. It would be amazing if we could have options rather than redo something the same exact way over and over again.

I'll be honest, when I heard about having the 3 alliances working apart on separate paths back when they first announced CT, I was not expecting... Atomos.

I enjoy CT heavily, and even run it when I've exhausted my one drop for the week, but I would love if they had done more with the separate groups sort of how you mentioned. Or perhaps progress on different paths, far apart from one another, and converge again for a boss.

It might be a nightmare to balance such a dungeon, but I'd be all for it!

Ah, that's my favorite one. I go as MNK, so I just get go beat up Atomos and pretend to be super awesome cool.

I do believe they are intending to add more content to CT, so perhaps they will consider such feedback for that. It would be pretty far down the road I'd imagine. If more content for CT is to come with 2.3 for example, they are already working on it.

Maybe this would work, but doing CT in a different order would probably make 24 people argue about the order based on drops they want, then people would quit the group if they didn't get their way.

Maybe if the order was picked by the game it would work, but probably people would still drop to try to join another CT that would give them the fight they want.

In FFXIV 1.0, Toto-Rak had 3 different end bosses you could fight: Easy, Medium, and Hard. The path to get to each boss matched their difficulty and only once you knew how to run the dungeon quickly could you get to the last boss and kill it within the time limit.

The rewards were different for each boss as well...

I'd like to see some dungeons that follow suit in this game.

I had almost forgotten about this, but this is a great example

Yes, something like the old Toto-rak would be good.

3 end-bosses, 3 ways. 4 photo-cells were needed to unlock the next path or the door to an end-boss. Once the party open the door to one end-boss, they can't go to the other end-bosses (because they would miss the photo-cells to open the path or door). To get to the 3. endboss they need to find all photo-cells in the dungeon.
The path order to get all photo-cell on the map is yellow -> blue -> green -> red

Not to mention, Toto-Rak and several other dungeons all had conditionally spawning treasure chests - in effect, you'd be rewarded for achieving certain things while inside the dungeon - for instance, taking out all the lesser enemies along the way.

I miss this, also >.> Not to mention missing the simple possibility of doing the dungeon differently if you fancied so.. yes, all for! And certainly a fair point about just releasing the order in which Crystal Tower bosses are fought, Antanias.
