First off, Lolo, it is quite offensive to use the quote function and replace it with your insulting interpretation of what someone posted.

Lolo, i was pointing out that your oversimplification of "just rip it off everyone with provoke" was not so simple when you have to move the mob a distance when it is already at max distance for provoke and shield tomahawk.

for lolo and juniglee: i guess i was overcomplicating specific times when a tank might have difficulty grabbing hate. Yes, of course you would always follow a provoke with either shield lob, tomahawk or overpower, that much is obvious to everyone. my response was to your earlier statement that provoke would "rip the mob off" of the other players. you oversimplified and in the case which i did not make proper reference to, namely king behemoth when you were previously on a tower and the main tank just died so you have to grab the boss now while everyone is in the middle of their best job at doing as much damage as possible and KB is already 3/4 of the way to the back of the arena where no one will permit you to place him to start tanking because they have the preconceived notion that he must be tanked only on the north side.

The entire point was that you are not always able to immediately follow up with an enmity combo due to max range of melee attacks

you must however be correct, based on one statement that you misunderstood, i am indeed a bad tank. Therefor, you should be as insulting as you can possibly be, without violating the terms of the forum.

I had to remove what you said so that I could post my comment because of the word limit. I was also calling it how I see it, you can take offensive but maybe you should stop getting emotional in your comments? Reacting/commenting before reading the full comment is a knee-jerk response.

It is very easy to take hate off DD, unless you are like ilvl 65 and everyone else is ilvl 85+. If that is the case, no one would even ask you to main tank and if the MT dies there are other tanks to pick up the slack. If in some universe you are tanking MT in CT as a ilvl65 for everything how hard is it to combo where the mob is until the mod turns to you because you have gain hate and then move the mob into place? I've seen this done countless times. But honestly at ilvl 65 the mob wont turn if your party has all ilvl85+ and in that case you should be mad at yourself for not being geared to MT but demanding to MT. Know what you can do and proceed from there. MT when your gear allows you to MT.

I couldn't fit all your text and mine Kazamoto but lol I do miss the joy toy to lol and yeah your right that in dungeons the whole group is moving so no need for pulls from the dps. Though I still do it in fates lol. I do miss some of the game mechanics of 11. But all good fun lol.
