Why no one tanks...

If the DPS is harassing you, kick or vote abandon. Let them remember the feeling of DPS queue.

People that quote others with "snip" in the quote are not attacking them. They have to do that so that they do not go over the word limit. The person didn't mean any harm.

People complain about tanks, because they aren't skilled enough to play tank role themselves. I saw some tanks that should throw their PCs against a wall by being so bad (like running into a group of mobs and dont flash at all... or use fast blade -> riot blade combo only). I believe thats why i rerolled from BLM to PLD. Because i couldnt hold bad tanks anymore.
Ill continue tanking, because of my beloved insta queues (and my coil party which needs me badly :P), and i dont even care if they BM against me, or kick me... i have insta queues, and they will be stuck in a dungeon without a tank, or leave and be on queue for 10 minutes (or more).

leveled my pld to 50 (4 job) , tanked the whole way in dungeons , made my relic (One tanked chimera and hydra (hydra as 1 tank is fun....), OT ifrit/garuda HM , 1 tanked titan of course )...

tanked CT 5 times (most boring thing ever...) , got some Myth gear and CT , my pld ilvl is 78 i think

why i dont keep tanking? i dont have exp as tank in Extreme modes (only place i can get some upgrades ), and no1 wants a newbie tank there (i clear coil and extreme every week but as dps)

i would love to keep tanking but not gonna bother , too much headache getting a spot as tank and wiping partys in order to learn encounters (getting harrased in process of course) ? no thanks.

What I find more interest isn't that there isn't people tanking.

It's that when I do CT recently my wife as a warrior does /a Anyone want to MT?
None of the tanks volunteer. It's like the fear stepping up and something bad happening. So last 4 runs she had to main tank the run which is fine but the game shouldn't be causing stress but because people get so crazy if something goes wrong there is a little more pressure making sure nothing goes sideways.

She says one of her favorite thing however is when MT dies and she can hope in and voke to save the day. It's why she doesn't offer to MT and when she does this it makes her fell like the runs hero.

Now my wife who is main Warrior, has no problem MT anything, As long as no one else wants to do it over her.
She is just that way. Give everyone else a chance to step up before she just does it.

I don't mind taking responsibility. I think there's more of an issue with players that falsely blame others because they don't know the game mechanics though. I call these Fake elitists.

If you do not know the game mechanics while everyone else does and you fail because of that, how is pointing that out false? If they don't tell you, wont you repeat the same mistake the next go around? I rather a person tell me I'm lacking so I can improve than to go around causing my future parties headache because I am bad at my job.
