Next Tank Job?

I hope the next tank branches off LNC, make it the Templar and uses 1h spear and shield, release it with the Ishgard expansion, and make the back story involve the holy see. Makes tons of sense.

A 1h spear would require completely redoing all animations. Not likely or even necessary. They would just use 2h spears, like WAR uses 2h axes and not a 1h+shield. Additionally, while I often thought of that as a possibility, I've come to the conclusion that it is unlikely. Dragoon is already related to Ishgard, so you'd have two LNC jobs from the same location. Does seem a little more likely that the job that has Rage of Halone would be associated with Ishgard, but who knows. Other LNC possibilities would involve the mention of Hellsguard as the creators of the Halberd weapons in the CRP questline as well as those spearmen of Ala Mhigo mentioned in the MNK questline. Another person mentioned how oddly congruent the names of LNC abilities are for Dark Knight as well -- Vorpal Thrust, Disembowel, Chaos Thrust, Blood for Blood -- though that may be more part of the interaction with FF4 (Wyrm is reportedly a combination of Kain's and Cecil's armors). Then there's always the Chaos Thrust animation if you really wanted to justify Samurai.

I kind of expect LNC to get a Tank Job for its 2nd Job because of how some of LNC gears currently are Tank Gears. They're few in numbers now but they are still tank gears.

4 complete sets, all Scale armor -- ilvl23, 32, 38, and 46, along with Mosshorn (i50) and others. The asymmetric-defense armor used by DRG is actually pretty uncommon prior to late game. Also somewhat odd, GLA can use it, and there's an asymmetric Onion Armor set at ilvl80 and a shield for it at ilvl90...

Ok first, we're getting a Ranged DPS next - Musketeer.

That will likely be the next class, but not necessarily the next job.
