    Solo tanking turn 5

Hello all, here is my current Lodestone:
    http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...acter/1710795/
For turn 5, I do have the Dual Haken to meet the Accuracy cap. Our usual team comp for 1-4 is WAR PLD WHM SCH DRG BRD BLM BLM . As my PLD buddy (i75) is more geared on his Monk(i89), I was thinking it'd be more viable to have him go as monk instead and solo tank it. I have 8800 HP with food and Defiance. I have read and watched some youtube videos of turn 5 but can anyone who has solo-tank this give me some general tips for tanks and maybe specific tips for warriors?

I need help with that too, my coil group decide to swap agroo every DS, it seems to working so far coz we just passed phase 2 last night, but i still want to solo tank it (swap agroo seems wrong to me), i dont know if im doing something wrong but i dont have a CD up for every DS, i need to combo IR+SP+(thrill of battle or vengance) to hold DS dmg, dunno if healers are doing something wrong coz i dont know their roles and belive my gear is good enoght to solo-MT it.

    [Btw sry about my english]

Your CD for every DS should be SP + IB. Vengeance, Thrill, and Conv should be used when needed (aka when you have infirmity and for eating liquid hells after divebomb phase). I've never solo tanked it myself, but I can give you some assumed theories based on how PLD does it:

    1. 1 melee tanks one of the adds, you take Twin + the other 2. In theory, this is probably how your opening should look: Tomahawk -> Infuriate -> Steel Cyclone -> Vengeance -> Overpower -> Berserk -> Overpower again if necessary -> get up SP -> try your hardest to build up 5 Wrath -> pop IB for DS -> Holmgang just to be safe. It will be a lot more work than a PLD would put in, but it SHOULD work and Holmgang + Vengeance should be up for the next high damage phase aka Asclepius + adds. -- Also if you cant afford to use SC at the start, just Infuriate and then spam OP a bit, get SP up on Twin, and IB before her DS casts.
    2. SP needs to be up 100% of the time. IB every Death Sentence and try not to use Vengeance during an infirmity DS unless you absolutely have to.
    3. Maaaaybe 2x SCH would be better for this? I'm not sure, Lustrates might be necessary for a solo WAR run.
    4. Snakes, grab em all, if you can have DPS kill both of them or one of them and still kill Asclepius in time (should be able to b/c more deeps), then do that. Vengeance when you get past the 2nd set of Divebombs, Holmgang just incase, kill Asclepius, bloop bloop next phase.
    5. If possible, try to stun the DK. Unless a Plummet is coming it's pretty safe to turn Twin a bit. Otherwise, have melee stun him for as long as their stuns allow.
    6. Not sure if MT can eat oppo-oppos while tanking Twin, but if you can... do that. Otherwise a melee should stand inside as it's pretty much your only other option outside of having everyone manually dodge.

Basically, it's way harder for WAR and way harder on the healers b/c no Hallowed, but pretty sure it's doable with the right team synergy and coordination.

Edit: Also - a bonus! With the SP debuff you actually have MORE effective HP than a solo PLD. So if you can live around not having Hallowed then you are potentially the superior solo tank. Possibly a bit more work at the start, but that's it really.

If it's before - your healers need to get you as close to full as possible before the DS happens. Heals also need to be pre-cast during the DS cast bar so that you don't get hit hard by the auto attack/Plummet right after and die. It's really down to the healers to keep you alive, the most you can do is IB + SP + cooldown and that's basically the same with Paladin. E4E is really useful (especially if you have casters able to put it on you as well) for various parts of the fight, and Virus should be used on the initial phase (as well as the Snake phase) as they will be where you'll be taking the most damage. As long as you're at full or close to it, with an IB popped and SP up you should be g2g for every DS, it's just down to your heals keeping you at full before, and then having heals coming as the DS is being cast. Solo tanking Twin is very much reliant on the healers, so they have to be at the top of their game to get you through it all.
