I'm not so sure I agree with your proposed change to the potions' cooldown. It seems somewhat silly given you only really need to buff your class/job's main stat right? DPS wants a burst to damage, tanks want a boost to survivability, and healers want more healing. So long as everyone is doing their job do we really need to use other potions as well? The only other potion I'd see myself using, were that implemented, is vitality since that stat is mutually beneficial to everyone. I mean, unless you hate having more health.

Personally with crafting (in conjunction with the crafted equipment itself being stronger) I'd like to see player made crafting leves. A place for players to set up requests for items, and offer up the gold that will be paid out for it, that a DoH can take and get a time limit to complete. If they don't deliver the item in the time limit, it fails and goes back up on the board. It would make it feel more like you're providing a useful service for people, and it could give you a faster and more guaranteed way to make some gil. As well as give the customer a way to get items not currently found on the market.

So basically your saying VIT is the only stat important stat to tanks and mind is the only thing important to healers etc, which is clearly not the case. Take WAR for example, Since Potions are essential another cooldown, that's kinda like choosing Berserk OR Thrill of Battle for the next 4mins, it would severely hurt their potential. And Lets not forget where there are situation where healers dps or where BLM/SMN off heal. Im just saying, it makes it kinda smart to keep a couple of different potions in hands for different situations, especially if they don't share CDs.

You do realize that when healers dps, they're supposed to go cleric stance and switch out when they are done right?
Tanks can use a str potion.... but is it really worth it? the 15 seconds of boost it gets them might help them gain threat in the case of a tank switch, but it's not really needed at all. Tanks stick to vit, healers stick to mind, dps stick to str/int. (Yeah vit would be a nice boost to have in the case of an AoE, but still not really all that necessary)
Also love HoneyBiscuit's idea for player made leves, just put a cap on how many you can take per day (because some people would just live at the boards and make all the money)

    Quality of life changes?

    1) Be able to send items to alts (if you make any)
    2) Be able to send items to my own FC members without the need to be friends!
    3) Failing 2, be able to send / accept friend requests when in duty (make it toggle, off being default such as now)
    4) Be able to whisper people while in duty (make it toggle, off being default such as now)
    5) Be able to accept party invites / friend requests while crafting / gathering.
    6) A toggle to remove the countless ARE YOU SURE, ARE YOU SURE YOU'RE SURE YOU'RE SURE? boxes, such as converting, selling etc.
    7) Remove the animation delay on some / most (all!) abilities. Especially in PVP where "looking good" comes a very third second to "firing off an ability".
    8) A toggle allowing HQ materials to be selected by default when you start crafting, instead of SQ -- turn on via crafting menu or item specific check box (think LotRO crit item check box)
    9) Create "Repeat Last Meld" option for the times you're trying to get that 8% materia to meld. Saves you going through the song and dance of selecting item, materia, tip, etc.
    10) Speed up the melding success / failure animation by 50%.
    11) More bags.
    12) A toggle to allow all bag pages to be open at once.
    13) Bait box.
    14) A toggle or a master screen to allow us to convert 2 individual (soon 3) retainers storage into one big... what's the word ... BANK! The retainers can still sell -- but I'd like a central screen where everything is and we can right click an item then choose which retainer to sell it from a short menu.

A lot of these have been said before. A lot of these will be said again. A lot of these are toggles (removes PS3 limitation crap). Everyone likes a toggle. People who don't want change can ignore toggles. People who want change can use toggles. Toggles FTW!

There are hundreds more I can think off... but... things.

    15) Better forums so people don't have to type, cut, post, edit, paste...

I agree with these (except the cross server PF, WoW is an example of why you want to avoid cross server anything) and would add a few:

    1) Your Chocobo companion is not counted as a party member and you can have him out while in que for the duty finder. SWTOR did it without any issues dont see why it cant happen here.

    2) Better XP for the main story. Considering the number of classes you can level on one toon I know Im not the only one that avoided side quests so that I could use them later to level other classes. Even with doing a fair amount of Fates though I had way too many spots in the main quest that put it on hold till I hit a certain level, and had to spend 1-2 levels doing nothing but Fates and GC quests.

    3) Dont force people to do dungeons to continue the story. Unlocking them is fine but we should be able to continue them main story and get back to them at a later time.

I *really* would like to see this in a future patch. I think it's pretty crappy we can't be leveling our Chocobo while in the duty finder. :/ I believe a "quick fix" would be just to automatically withdraw the Chocobo once you commence duty. Hopefully this is added soon.

I did say Vit potion would be useful to everyone. I'd go as far as saying if Vit potion had it's own cooldown that would be a welcome change. But as far as healers dealing damage, I'm fairly certain scholar does get access to cleric stance, which is good enough in that regard. Conceding to a different cooldown on vitality WAR and PLD are fine with STR and VIT. If your BLM is really needing to use physick, your healer probably needs to step it up, or you guys have reached that, "we're so boned. . ." phase and you're not going down without a fight. I honestly don't think the potions would be a big enough gain to pull you out of those tough situations. In my opinion they're fine how they are. Simple, clearly defined boosts for your role, and you only need to carry one type.
