How is it that gil spammer know when I've logged on and I just appear in my in room.

A fair number of times when I log on and haven't even left my inn room, I get gil spam. How do they know that I've logged on? I'm in my inn room. I haven't left yet. There seems like there is some sort of serious hole here. Unless they constantly send tells to ppl even if offline and ignore the failure.

Also, I get more gil spam then some fc friends. Some of full blacklists, others don't. I feel like I'm being targeted. Is it because I'm a gatherer and wonder about in the open more?

You've really got to do something about blacklists getting full and gil spammers running rampant. If you can't make the blacklist much bigger.

Also when I do take the time to report a gil spammer harassing me multiple times in a row, you send a standard form let telling me that I should blacklist them. Obviously you don't read or you wouldn't send me THAT form let. Because my blacklist keeps getting full. I'm reaching my limit with this problem. Do something about it.

Time and time again I've been exchanging tells with a friend. I gil spammer interjects and I mistakenly us /r command to reply to my friend. The response goes to the spammer. And if I blacklist them and use /r I get a messages saying I can't respond to them because they a blacklisted. It's an ongoing nuisance and the game already has enough issues as it is.

Obviously spammers wouldn't spam if some idiots were not buying from them. Instead of banning the people who buy from them, put a bounty on their head and make it so we can attack them. Constantly dyeing because they bought gil and are killed by angry people would be the hell they deserve. And it would seriously be a fun element in the game hunting down the buyers. Everywhere they went, ppl could tell and it would make their life hell. The other potential buyers would know what was in store for them.

I'm pretty sure part of their code does constant searches to see who's online and fire off tells based on the searches. I routinely hear the 'tell received' sound before my graphics have finished loading.
