    Titan already does do something for mountain buster. It is right left swipe animation on tank, then mountain buster. As healer the moment I see that swipe I know to spam heals in phase 5.
    Titan also randomly turns away from the tank right before a landslide.

    So yes there are already cues. I don't have phase 5 memorized. I react to what I see coming next based on Titan's animations.

    Yah the little mechanics are easy to randomize and encounters like Ifrit X already do this. As long as abilities have a "Readying.." line in the battle log and/or a cast bar, they can be mitigated/avoided. They just might require a slightly longer windup/cast time to allow for player reaction. Randomizing the BIG mechanics can be a clusterfuck though and ruin the fluidity of the fight. Consecutive charges in Ifrit for example would create an extended period where he is unattackable. Charge into roomwide plume would be a similar situation and one that would likely kill people. Basically if we were given more randomized fights we wouldn't get the big bombastic abilities. It would be a lot more little things like randomly spawning adds and targeted moves like single Landslides and eruptions.

    You are right, there are definitely ways to do it, I guess I was just assuming they kept the current system. I would love more random fights as long as (being a tank) I could mitigate at the right time.

    When you beat something in XIV its like you've done it a million times

    You can probably go in any of the primals after you farmed it and beat it with a blindfold on

    It would be nice if they give us some challenge... something that keep us on our feet

    lol SE should totally make coil 6-9 and levitation Ex have super random moves....so i can watch each one of these posters come back a week later after 2.2 goes "OMG WTF SE IN BOSS BATTLE RNG? YOU SUX!!11QQQQ"

    If I remember correctly, Yoshi-P mentioned the fact that the primals were designed this way because it's "that kind of content".

    From the way he said it, I wouldn't be surprised if there are finally some elements of randomness in 2.2 content.

    Sorry, but adding RNG to primals/raids would just cause 10x more QQing then there already is.
    OP, you think you want it, but I guarantee, the second they add it, you will be among the first to complain.
