Solo tank Twintania requirements for PLD? And tips?

I am ilvl 88, i89 soon as rollover this coming Monday. I will have roughly 7k hp with food on my PLD.

Is there any other requirements that need to be met to solo tank TT? Or is it just a HP check?

Also any other advice anyone can give is great. This will be our 2nd week beating our heads on Twintania so, please give me some tips.

i think a lot is up to the healers, especially during the snake phase. I guess saving cds during second divebomb phase and going to the centre to tank all snakes by using hallowed. ofc making sure you can keep hate on every snake..

It's best to keep Hallowed for the Liquid-Hell phase, in case you're tanking hatches on the ring or even if you're MT.

Healers are the ones who have the most worst part of it during the snakes.

I'd just say use your cooldowns at appropriate times. Death Sentences, mainly. Healers can heal but it doesn't mean anything if you instantly die.

not sure you/others do it but our healers mitigate every death sentence. Dont play tank but id assume you would want to make sure you got cds in time for snakes, since tank will melt there.

Death Sentence starts right from the get go, even if a skill was on 300 sec cooldown you could still mitigate one from the start with a PLD Cooldown and have it back up by the snakes. Not using any PLD Cooldowns for a DS early on it just a waste really.

pretty much what i said, just make sure those cds are available during snakes, since most would agree its the hardest part of the fight, and thats with 2 tanks.

I have to agree. The final phase is a joke, the MT with 4 stacks from snakes; now that is scary.

OT. We've done it twice now since we're getting bored with coil now. Make sure you have hollowed ground up for snakes, as well as Sent. That phase is going to be absolute hell for your healers. After that its all Dread management; and people paying attention.

Hi guys My two cents as a scholar healer on Twintania:

For a single tank PLD strat make sure the scholar healer saves his/her stacks of aetherflow for lustrates (Instant heal) after death sentence. Lustrate heals on a percentage basis and is NOT affected by the healing debuff. This will typically save the tank from any burst damage coming after the Death Sentence hits. Hope that helps!

Also learn exactly when to use it so Lustrate hits as soon as his HP drops. You can go by the casting bar or the animation or w/e, but you'll get a feel for it. Same applies to Cure II, if you time it correctly you can get an "ungimped" Cure II on to the tank after DS hits (it's pretty easy to time).

Yeah, our tank uses Hallowed Ground for that phase, and then when his HG timer reaches 1 second I have to pop PoM and Cure II spam like hell, at least until all the small snakes are dead. Even when it's just Asclepius left, he hits ridiculously hard on a 4 stack tank.
