My vision: new tomestones and old content

Just thought about new tomestones and coil t1-t5 weekly lockout.

I see a good variant that will make profit for all players.
    System is like that:

    1) t1-t5 is free from lockout for all to enter and get any number of loot
    2) cap for mythology tomestones will be removed
    3) new tomestones will have cap and will be used in smith for upgrading current myth gear to new gear (AF2).

What pros do we have with this:
    - those who are raiding will get new ilvl100 items in coil t6-t9 like they did earlier with t1-t5 compared to those who just cap myth for their myth items and relics +1.
    - if you want to be free from raiding, you will be able to upgrade your curent myth gear to it's AF2 analog (probably it's too ilvl100 lto be compared with t6-t9 gear). But you'll wait every week for cap and you'll need myth gear first to upgrade it (Valor Surcoat + 200 new tomes -> Valor surcoat Zenith, for example).
    - those who will just start the game will get ilvl90 along with DL (but for full DL they'll need ~6000 philosophy tomes (60 wp/ak or smth like that), while for full myth they'll need ~6000 mythology tomes (200 wp/ak or smth like that), so they'll obtain DL much faster than myth).
    - those who already have all desired DL equipment and don't really need it, can just farm coil t1-t5 for ilvl90 and 50 myth tomestones without any philosophy tomestones. Thus they'll get ilvl90 faster (at least allagan + myth) and will be able to equip any their desired class with ilvl90 while the time goes (if you're unlucky with allagan drop, you'll get Valor surcoat after 17 t1 runs for example (50*17=850) ). This also solves random problem (DF means that there will be almost always 2 people on each item drop who want it, so it may be hard to obtain desired loot even after 100 t1 runs)

This way we'll make people running all content with all classes and make people ready for t6-t9 faster.

What do you think about this system?

I still don't see the point of putting the highest tome gear and highest raid gear on the same tier. If you're not raiding, you don't need the highest ilevel gear anyways. Would rather see the new tomes get say i95 gear and raid drops be i100. Now I know RNG can be a bitch but why not switch to a token based system. Generic body token dropped. Person loots/trades for an i100 body of their class etc.

I need the highest ilevel gear, because that's how I play the game.

I've been playing MMOs for as long as they've existed. Brutally honestly: I'm not very skilled. I know how to raid, I'm just not good at actually doing it. SO, before I enter an instance I like to know that I'm overgeared, so if I'm failing I know for a fact that it's my skill, not my gear. I know for certain I can't do a great job if I'm undergeared, because I don't have the skill to make up for it - I'm going to do everything I can to make up for my lack of skill, which means, I want/need the best gear available.

I will succeed, and won't hold my group back (until we get to the leading edge of progression) because I'm willing to get unneccesssarily high ilvl gear to compensate for my lack of skill.

I don't think the ilevel really matters. The ilevel on hero's accessories is equal to their raiding equivalent, but often their stats are far worse. Right now on my paladin I'd rather hang on to darklight than use hero's, despite the ilvl upgrade.

So to get the best gear in the game, you've still got to raid, but having raid/myth gear the same ilevel (but with different stats) gives non-raiders a way to progress while also not making them feel like 2nd class citizens. I think its a very clever system, one I hope they keep.
