    i loved gear swapping in ffxi, i really was disapointed when it wasn't in this game. biggest reason is i like collecting the gears for it all. u turn the 22spaces of gear into way more. now instead of 22 u have gear swaps witch are equivelent to more slots that u need to collect gear for. i loved this and wish it back. also i hate gear sets and having to decide witch ones to put on for when instead of switching them out threw marco's then and there.

    i'm thinking this game will have best job gears and best class gears at some point along with best for situation gears but i hate the idea of having to put my sheath down to do it. or having to be geared prior. macro's and gear swaps is the way to go.

    people who don't like to macro well the problem is that no games are changing how macro's work ...they keep making them complex crap with text lines when it can be something simple for people like drap and drops or something that takes seconds to do.

    but yeah, gear swapping was awsome in ffxi, change sets for everything, full sets of mp heal and rest, for nukes, for ws, for landing spells, everything. was great. and surely beats being stuck with like 2sets of gear or soemthing like that witch then u have to replace instead. if no switchings means how many peices of gear u will really have? i'm thinking without gear swaps it will be like other mmo's where new gear replaces the old, and i say this is horrible idea.

    I have to agree that gear swap is one thing I hate about ff xi

    i guess u locked onto players and spam cure like a zombie, i never had any issues in my life in ffxi with gear blinks and curing or targeting at all either. just say your to lazy to make macro's that least a good reason. it's gotta be the only good reason. either way this is a game of 2011, all the problems with it could and should be fixed not scraping the idea totally.

    Even locking on to a player would remove your target from them. That's why people switch out of gear when you auto-follow them and they shoot you into a hungry pack of wolves remember? In "all your life in FFXI" You should remember that much.

    If you haven't noticed, the majority don't want this back in this game.

    And no, I'm not too lazy to make macros, I made macros for everything in XI and in XIV. Here's one for you:
    /ac "Silence" <Notorious Jerk>

    and here's a XI version for you:
    /ma "Silence" <Elitist>

    well if there is going to be gear say like a set that will help with landing silence, though with the length anything lasts feels like it won't matter but to make this game more dynamic i'm sure they will have to fix this. but if there is gear that helps weather or not u can swap without droping sheath i think they will just do that, drop sheath macro switch and cast if it would be that important.

    but if it won't matter, then what type of gameplay are we really looking at for this game i dont know.

    ok ok here something you should have learned in FFXI so it seems u joined after abyssea you can make cure macro's to a player

    /ma "Cure IV" <p1> and so on and in alliance <a1> <a2> etc etc ... so blinking wouldnt effect in any way because the code would find player either blinking or not hehhehehehe nice try go back get brady games handbook LMAO

    Ok be realistic for a second, who's going to make 6-18 macros for each spell lol? And that brady games strategy guide is so outdated.

    You claim you leveled BLM, WHM, RDM, BRD, and SMN to 75 and yet you tell us to make 6-18 macros for a single Cure spell?
    Problem solved! Everyone make 6-18 macros for Cure III and 6-18 more for Cure IV!
    I like how you know so much about how mages are supposed to macro spells and yet your THM is 12 and your CON is 26 while your ARC is 50. I know that it's a different game but anyone can say they leveled everything to 75 in XI and have no proof either lol
