    CE 1.0 items didn't transfer to 2.0

I'm creating this thread for my boyfriend, who, like myself, have played since 1.0 launched. He submitted a ticket for a response from SE about this problem, but we all know how they like to cancel tickets on us, right? So I'm posting here in hopes that someone will give us a definitive answer on this matter. So, here's the situation:

He purchased the Collector's Edition (CE) for FFXIV 1.0. That was all fine and dandy; he received all of the bonus content and was thoroughly enjoying the game. However, once we started playing 2.0, he realized he never received any of the 2.0 CE items. Square Enix specifically stated multiple times that players who purchased 1.0's CE WILL receive 2.0's CE items without needing to do anything. Even to this date, he still has not received 2.0's CE items. His Mog Station account even says he's a 1.0 CE player.

I did some research on this issue, and other players have seemed to encounter this problem as well. Their problem was that they maybe entered a buddy pass on accident or something. This isn't the case, here. If I remember correctly, we didn't need to enter any kind of code when we played alpha, beta and the official release of ARR; our accounts already existed with a continued subscription and carried over once we entered our username/password to download/install/patch/play the game. So we're not sure why his CE items simply didn't carry over.

Has anyone else experienced what he is going through with this, and how--if at all--was it resolved?

By any chance is there 2 FFXIV showing inside accont in mogstation? It should show there what bonuses you have attached to your XIV account. I noticed people had beta/alpha for 1.0 and for some reason the code was applied to that one and not the regular 1.0/2.0 account and customer service had to move the information from the unused one to the correct one.

Other than that is to just wait for SE's response, if it gets cancelled, or you get auto-response and nothing else, only can keep on sending to hope one of them gets responded.

    Good luck.

Nope, it just shows one account. I know there have been instances where a buddy pass has been applied to other people's account by accident, but that isn't what happened, either. I'm GUESSING it's because the alpha/beta code is the one being used and not the regular 1.0 CE code, as you suggested. SE Emailed him yesterday, explaining the investigation [supposedly] began, so we'll just have to wait and see, I guess. Not sure how long it'll take! Thanks for your reply. ^^

They finally Emailed him back, but they said it shows that his account for 2.0 was activated using a "Buddy Pass." This is completely false. I'm the person who activated his account, and there is no way a Buddy Pass could have been used.

    A) I just dug up the Buddy Pass last night from our storage closet which hasn't been touched since we opened the Collector's Edition and made our 1.0 account.
    B) I can clearly see that it clearly states "Buddy Pass" on this piece of paper. I couldn't have missed that, because I read everything carefully (it actually takes me longer than most to create accounts, etc.).

In their Email, they stated that the only solution would be to spend $20.00 to upgrade to a Collector's Edition account. I know this is false, because I've thoroughly researched this problem online and noticed the same issue happened to many other people. In fact, I read that one person accidentally registered a "Buddy Pass" to their account, and customer support simply transferred everything over so he could have the Collector's Edition! The fact is that my boyfriend OWNS the Collector's Edition, he's USED it in 1.0, and he's currently using the SAME character. We aren't going to pay for something AGAIN which we already own.

He and I are going to persistently call customer support until this gets fixed, because they shouldn't treat a person one way and instantly fix their problem, and then treat -us- the way they did. If they say they can't fix it, I'm going to keep calling until I speak to their supervisor; I don't care how far up I need to go in the chain. He and I have played FF games for several years, and suddenly SE is denying us content when we already own the right to experience it.
